Smith or Monger..

blacksmith 2

According to Webster: “smith,” n. A metalworker, especially one who works metal when it is hot and malleable.

fishmonger 2

According to Webster: “mon·ger,” (in context) n. A dealer in a specific commodity.

In an attempt to provide a bit of clarity to the world at large this morning, I begin by critiquing the following; …

Charlize - beautiful 1a

(Charlize Theron).

According to Webster: “beau·ti·ful,” adj. Having qualities that delight the senses, especially the sense of sight.

(Sidebar).

In (this writer’s opinion), you could mix Charlize Theron with stomped on mud and she wouldn’t be unattractive.

..as opposed to;

wicked witch of the West 1a

(The wicked witch of the West).

Whom one could mix with Rose petals and Red wine and still (not) achieve anywhere near a reasonable facsimile of “delightful” to the senses.

According to Webster: “ug·ly,” adj. Displeasing to the eye; unsightly.

Continuing…

Albeit Plato proclaimed that; “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.” It goes without saying that few of us would find anything “unattractive” about an…

Enzo Ferrari

(Enzo Ferrari).

(Sidebar).

As both a (self-proclaimed) “wordsmith and word monger,” I can assure you with confidence, that (it is) a “rare occasion” that I encounter a “word” that (we) “Homo sapiens, and/or, human beings” use with impunity, that (are not) according to the dictionary, “legitimate” words.

With my personal favorite illegitimate word being; …

irregardless 2

Accordingly, irregardless of irregardless being my favorite illegitimate word, this morning I have discovered its equal.

unattractive 2

Not being able to speak to the excitement that this revelation brings to you, I share my thoughts; “I think it’s fantastic.”

3D-Abstract-Background-Wallpaper

According to Webster: “fan·tas·tic,” adj. (in context) Fanciful; bizarre.

Bizarre_Creatures_freecomputerdesktopwallpaper_1280

According to Webster: “bi·zarre,” (in context) adj. Strikingly unconventional and far-fetched; odd.

In the world beyond the correctness required by standards set by those that set standards. Who in the Western world (has not) used the word “unattractive” in conversation, or in text?

Continuing…

As it has come to light that “unattractive” is off the table this morning, (at least for my purpose), I offer two alternatives, “unsightly” and “repulsive.”

junk

According to Webster: “un·sight·ly,” adj. Unpleasant or offensive to look at; unattractive. See Synonyms at ugly.

ugly

According to Webster: “re·pul·sive,” (in context) adj. Tending to repel or drive off.

Clarification; “I personally find tattoos unattractive, especially on women. As for a tattoo on an individual like Angelina Jolie I find tattoos not only unattractive, but categorically ridiculous because with her financial portfolio she is more than capable of purchasing a tablet to scribe her notes.”

(Sidebar).

For the single individual out there who may not have caught Webster’s (lapse in propriety), although Webster denies the legitimacy of the word “unattractive” as an entity unto itself, it would seem that they have (no problem) using the “word” to define the word unsightly.

Question: Considering the absurdity of what I have provided so far this morning, what inspired my action?

Answer: “An email from Icarus.”

(Sidebar).

Icarus 1a

For those that (may not) be familiar with “Greek mythology,” Icarus was the son of Daedalus. In short, the story goes as follows; “Icarus and his father in attempting to escape from Crete by means of wings that his father made from feathers and wax. Icarus’ disregarded his father’s warnings not to fly too close to the sun and the rest is history, at least in Greek mythology.”

Icarus, (my protagonist), not the Icarus of Greek mythology, writes; …

“I’ve been reading your posts for more than a year now and I believe that your criticism of Obama, although “somewhat” warranted, is without merit, as you provide no alternative to the programs that he is providing, so how is your criticism a benefit to anyone?”

I love this guy 2

I mean, how often do you get an email from an imbecile on Christmas?

Take your pick…

According to Webster: “im·be·cile,” (in context) 1. A person of moderate to severe mental retardation with a mental age of from three to seven years, being capable of simple tasks under supervision.

2. The term belongs to a classification system no longer in use and is now considered offensive.

in reply - to Icarus 2

As you, (in my opinion), ..identify yourself as a “dependent” individual by challenging my opinion that Barack Obama’s socialist/communist ideology is categorically adverse to the principles of our founding fathers, I have no recourse other than to treat you as a hostile.

America was not founded by limp wristed antagonists that rally to the cries of parasites like Al Sharpton and his ilk who revel in talking the talk, albeit when you turn over the rock he and his cronies crawled out from under, the good Reverend Al’s record is one that provides he has no interest in walking the walk.

If ever there was an example personifying that black (is not) beautiful, “Alfred Charles “Al” Sharpton would be it.

Sharpton 4b

Not that I’m a bona fide expert on the Reverend Al Sharpton, albeit (for the record), ..if I owe the federal government $450 million in back taxes, I not only “couldn’t afford” the suit he’s wearing in this picture, I couldn’t afford the Walmart pajamas I’m wearing as I’m writing this.

But then what the hell, ..my parents raised me to respect my fellow man, …not to use them as an ATM.

In Reverend Al’s bio on Wikipedia, he is (described as) an American Baptist minister, civil rights activists, television and radio talk show host and a trusted White House advisor who, according to 60 minutes, is President Obama’s go to “black” leader.

Question: Aren’t civil rights activists supposed to advocate for people’s civil rights?

If like myself, you came up with an answer in the affirmative, my next question is; …

white civil rights 2

Because in truth, if I hadn’t been assured by black folks that black folks couldn’t be racist because they’re black, I believe that I might be inclined to think that under this administration, I’m being discriminated against because I’m white.

According to Webster: “ra·cism,” (in context) n. The belief that one race is superior to another or others.

I'm the Pres 4

And he has for six years now and America’s dependence on government subsidies have doubled, ..tripled, ..and even quadrupled under the Obama administration.

America buried two New York police officers this week, and (in my opinion), they were buried due to the radical policies of Al Sharpton and Barack Obama heralding the “evils” of (white) police officers.

I can’t speak for the rest of the nation, however for me, I am sick to death of the divided America that Barack Obama has provided us, ..and I “ain’t” talking about between whites and a blacks.

two-way street

(Discrimination is a two-way street).

I’m talking about between the (government) and the people.

Truth forges understanding, I’ll be back tomorrow
