Question of the Day – Obsession..

campaigning - consternation

According to Webster: “ob·ses·sion,” n. A preoccupation with a fixed idea or emotion.

Question: What is the one obsession, (unequivocally) shared by every member of the human race?

According to Webster: “un”e·quiv“o·cal·ly,” adj. No doubt or misunderstanding; clear and unambiguous.

Number one answer…

“OURSELVES”

Which of course, (unequivocally) explains why “we” human beings have such a difficult time trusting each other.

Which of course, brings to question; “Why, when “we” don’t trust each other, do “we” (choose) to govern ourselves (via) “representation?”

Are we stupid as well as ignorant?

According to Webster: “stu·pid,” Slow to learn or understand.

According to Webster: “ig·no·rant,” Unaware or uninformed.

Question: At what “juncture” in a human beings development does he or she began learning to be stupid?

Number one answer…

”COLLEGE”

Which of course, (at least in my “humble” opinion), is one of the most fascinating realities in the universe, as Universities are supposed to be berths of teaching – not preaching.

According to Webster: “teach·ing,” (in context) To impart knowledge or a skill.

Knowledge, (at least in this writer’s opinion), is truth passed from one to another.

According to Webster: “preach·ing,” To advocate, to urge acceptance of or compliance with.

Advocating, (at least in this writer’s opinion), is the art of selling a fish.

Question: What does a fish have to do with “osession?”

(Sidebar).

Alluding to your intellectual imagination, accept the fish as a (universal synonym) for whatever.

Continuing…

Not to be remiss in my responsibility to fairness, environment also plays a part in education.

According to Webster: “en·vi·ron·ment,” n. (In context) The combination of external physical conditions that affect and influence growth, development, and survival.

An illustration…

If you spent your formative years in a traditional family with a mother, a father and siblings, in Southern California, you are (categorically) dissimilar to an individual who spent his or her formative years in an orphanage in Moscow or Beijing.

According to Webster: “cir·cum·stances,” n. (in context) The sum of determining factors beyond willful control.

An illustration…

A child born to a traditional family in Syria, Iran or Iraq will (unequivocally) be influenced by Islam.

Because of “diversity” in America, a child born in Mississippi, Arizona or Pennsylvania could be impacted by anything from a “hummingbird” to a “hula hoop,” because the availability of “opportunity” in America is beyond the “opportunity” available anywhere else in the world.

America is, and has been since its founding, the world hub of opportunity and if I’m lying? …

it's good to be King - Obama

..the abandoned, and/or, “forsaken” son of a Kenyan goat herder is not the current “imaginary” King of America.

Truth forges understanding, I’ll be back tomorrow
