America is “not” a Game Show.
(Harry Reid (D) – Senate Majority Leader).
As well as, (in my humble opinion), one of the sleaziest most corrupt and “anti-constitutional” Homo sapiens on the planet.
U.S. News Op-Ed; …
Sunday, April 6, 2014
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has taken to the floor of the Senate to denounce Republican benefactors Charles and David Koch as “shadowy billionaires” who “rig the system” with massive political contributions.
Charles and David Koch – i.e., “the Koch Brothers.”
According to a New York Times article by Frank Rich published, August 28, 2010…
The Koch brothers are the Billionaires “bankrolling” the tea party as he elaborated; …
“Another weekend, another “grass-roots” demonstration starring Real Americans who are mad as hell and want to take back their country from you-know-who.
Last Sunday the site was Lower Manhattan, where (they) jeered the “ground zero mosque.”
This weekend, the scene shifted to Washington, where the avatars of oppressed white Tea Party America, “Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin,” were slated to “Reclaim the Civil Rights Movement” (Beck’s words) on the same spot where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. explicated his dream exactly 47 years earlier. (Source, Newsmax.com).
According to Wikipedia; the Koch brothers political activities include the financial and political influence of Charles G. and David H. Koch on United States (US) policies. This influence is seen both directly and in directly via various advocates see and the law being organizations in which they have an interest. (Source, Wikipedia).
According to Wikipedia; the Koch family is most notable for its control of Koch industries, the second largest privately owned company in the United States. The family business was started by Fred C. Koch, who developed a new cracked in method for the reassignment of heavy oil into gasoline.
David H. Koch and Charles G. Koch, the two brothers still with Koch industries, our affiliation with the Koch family foundations. Annual revenue for Koch industries has been estimated to be $100 billion dollars.

After reading and assimilating the foregoing “Bio’s” provided by Wikipedia, – it is now perfectly clear to me as a (common sense conservative American), why Harry Reid and Barack Obama both fear and despise the Koch brothers, –
..and as “success” is not (contributetory) to the development and/or, expansion of “socialism and communism,” …
Harry and Barack both (most likely) suffer “tall” nightmares thinking about what the Koch brothers might do next?
According to an article in; “The New Yorker” written by Jane Mayer on August 10, 2010; …
On May 17th, a black-tie audience at the Metropolitan Opera House applauded as a tall, jovial-looking billionaire took the stage. It was the seventieth annual spring gala of American Ballet Theatre, and David H. Koch was being celebrated for his generosity as a member of the board of trustees; he had recently donated “two point five million dollars” toward the company’s upcoming season, and had given many millions before that.
Koch received an award while flanked by two of the gala’s co-chairs, Blaine Trump, in a peach-colored gown, and Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, in emerald green.
Kennedy’s mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, had been a patron of the ballet and, coincidentally, the previous owner of a Fifth Avenue apartment that Koch had bought, in 1995, which he sold eleven years later for 32 million, having found it too small.
The gala marked the social ascent of Koch, who, at the age of seventy, has become one of the city’s most prominent philanthropists.
In 2008, he donated a hundred million dollars to modernize Lincoln Center’s New York State Theatre building, which now bears his name.
He has given twenty million to the American Museum of Natural History, whose dinosaur wing is named for him.
This spring, after noticing the decrepit state of the fountains outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Koch pledged at least ten million dollars for their renovation.
He is a trustee of the museum, perhaps the most coveted social prize in the city, and serves on the board of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where, after he donated more than forty million dollars, an endowed chair and a research center were named for him.
One dignitary was conspicuously absent from the gala: the event’s third honorary co-chair, Michelle Obama…
Her office said that a scheduling conflict had prevented her from attending.
Yet had the First Lady shared the stage with Koch it might have created an awkward tableau. In Washington, Koch is best known as part of a family that has repeatedly funded stealth attacks on the Obama Administration.
Can you imagine the “audacity” of anyone attacking Barack Obama for his economic policies, ..and/or, (lack) thereof.
Why, that would be absolutely and unequivocally – un-communist!
A final note…
The Koch brothers combined fortune of (thirty-five billion dollars) is exceeded only by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.
Liberal Billionaires “Bill Gates” and “Warren Buffett” both write checks, and (extremely large ones), to the Democratic Party and to Democratic candidates…
Continuing with U.S. New’s Op-Ed; …
It’s a charge that one pundit terms an act of “hypocrisy.”
Reid is “a thug and a bully who takes advantage of the way the U.S. Constitution immunizes him for any damage he may do to the reputations of others,” in the words of Peter Roff, a contributing editor at U.S. News & World Report.
“There are some billionaires out there whom he likes very much, as long as they are willing to spend their money to help him hang on to his present position. Some people call this ‘smart politics,’ while others simply see it for what it is:
Reid needs Democrats to hold onto the Senate in November if he is to remain majority leader. “This means Reid needs to find deep-pocketed friends of his own, such as Tom and Jim Steyer, billionaires who stand to lose if the Keystone XL pipeline ever actually gets built.”
Tom Steyer made a fortune as a hedge fund manager and advocates for alternative energy sources. He funded the creation of the TomKat Center for Sustainable Energy at Stanford University.
Jim Steyer is an author and environmentalist who teaches at Stanford.
The conservative group American Commitment said in a release that the Steyers have pledged “$100 million to liberals if they will promote [Reid’s] lockstep anti-American energy agenda.”
Apparently it’s quite acceptable for a billionaire to contribute $100 million to a political campaign, – as long as it’s Harry’s!
Roff observes: “It’s easy to tell the billionaires backing Harry Reid and other liberals are the bad guys — because they’re the ones trying to impose massive new energy taxes on you, kill the Keystone pipeline, and enrich themselves by directing your tax dollars to their ‘green energy’ schemes.”
He adds that Reid and other liberals’ rhetoric “makes them sound like they hate the rich but really they love them — as long as they are writing checks to the right people and the right groups.” (Source, Newsmax.com).
Question: When did (earning) a living in America become a bad thing?
I held good, (well paying), ..albeit (menial) jobs all my life and I’m not the least bit unhappy. I don’t want to be Charles or David Koch, nor would I care to be Harry Reid or Barack Obama. Mostly I suppose, because I’m not a greedy person, nor do I aspire to be my brother’s keeper.
Greed and power are not what the U.S. Constitution offers, the Constitution offers opportunity, “equality in opportunity,” (not) “equality in wealth or power.”
People come to America from all over the globe to seek their fortune, because our Constitution offers opportunities that no other nation on this planet offers.
Case in point; …
(George Soros – Liberal and Billionaire).
George Soros, born August 12, 1930, is a Hungarian-born American business magnate, investor, and philanthropist.
He is the chairman of Soros Fund Management and he is known as “The Man Who Broke the Bank of England” from his short sale of U.S. $10 billion worth of pounds, giving him a profit of $1 billion during the 1992 Black Wednesday U.K. currency crisis.
Soros is a well-known supporter of progressive-liberal political causes. Between 1979 and 2011, Soros gave away over $8 billion to causes related to human rights, public health, and education. He played a significant role in the peaceful transition from communism to capitalism in Hungary (1984–89) and provided one of Europe’s largest higher education endowments to Central European University in Budapest. Soros is also the chairman of the Open Society Foundations. (Source, Wikipedia).
Question: So, is George Soros a socialist or capitalist?
According to Webster: “so·cial·ist,” An advocate of socialism.
George Soros does (indeed), donated millions of dollars to progressive liberal politicians, i.e., “Barack Obama,” and others.
According to Webster: “cap·i·tal·ist,” (in contest) An investor of capital in business, especially one having a major financial interest in an important enterprise.
George Soros did (indeed), “snooker” the Bank of England, and/or, “the Rothschilds” for $1 Billion dollars.
Not that I personally give a damn about the Rothschilds, as they are in my opinion the number one blight on my country.
..but then I don’t have much use for con artists and thieves either. Which is pretty much the same as saying that I don’t care much for politicians, especially America’s current crop.
If it were up to me to “lump them together” and provide them with an image, my (categorical) first choice would be…
..my childhood favorite, Snidely Whiplash!
Truth forges understanding, I’ll be back tomorrow
