According to Webster: “sus·tain“a·ble,” (in context )To keep in existence.

It seems that everywhere we turn these days someone is talking about one of the world’s resources or another and debating, whether or not that resource is sustainable?

From agriculture…

There are hundreds of groups and organizations lobbying for and against not only how much of these resources we use, ..but how and when we use them as well…

The SPCA in America is established in almost every community, large and small, from coast-to-coast.

Accordingly, when you think about it, “we” (Homo sapiens) are pretty considerate creatures.

In fact, to test your awareness of the world around you, I’d like to pose a question…

Can anyone name something that we humans don’t care about?

having trouble - graphic 1

giant redwood trees 1

Could be because the answer is like one of those things where you can’t see the forest because there are so many trees.

So I’ll just come out and tell you the answer is “you and me” and the other “7.121 billion folks” on the planet.

The reason that “our” resources are running out, is not because there is not enough of everything on, in, or around the earth,’s because we (Homo sapiens) are spilling over the boundaries set by both God and nature, ..and you can take that to the bank.

Population projection for the year 2050 is 9.7 Billion.

America's cookie jar 1

A cookie jar is only so big…

earth 2 is the Earth.

Although I am open to the idea that the universe may be infinite, I have enough “God-given” common sense to know that there is a known (number) of cookies that will fit into a cookie jar, and by the same measure, there is a known (number) of creatures that this great big beautiful blue planet can sustain.

Truth forges understanding, I’ll be back tomorrow
