Readers Forum – Truth or Consequences..

readers forum logo 1a

It’s been a grand week here in the upper Midwest, albeit we have a bit of snow on the ground at the moment, ..earlier in the week we had a couple of days in the 60s.

However, what really made this week for me was my friend Greg dropping by and fixing the “foul-up” in the bowels of my computer.

A foul-up, caused by yours truly while updating my Adobe flash player I, (unwittingly) failed to uncheck the box during the download that allowed “Google Chrome” to invade my hard drive.

Aspersions cast where aspersions are due, Google Chrome totally altered the operation of my website. My apologies to WordPress.com and all of those who I blamed for my (fubar).

(Sidebar).

By “request” I will no longer be publishing any part of any readers email address.

Onward to the issues…

First time reader, love your stuff, I have bookmarked your site and will return next week. Dave.

Hello Dave, thank you for visiting my website and thank you for your appreciation. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon, Chuck.

Melissa from California,       (Bigotry from the Top).

I think people like you are funny, President Obama is a good man and Obamacare is the best law ever passed in America and it will remain the law forever fool. So I suggest you obey the law or move to China.

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello Melissa, thank you for visiting my site and thank you for your comments and for reaffirming that Barack Obama’s “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” is the law (now) and that there is nothing that fools like me can do to change that.

Moving right along, …

Now that you’ve provided me with such valid and pertinent information concerning America’s (“Patient Protection and Affordable Care law, ..please let me know (what you think) about this one…

title 18 – 1035 3a

False statements relating to health care matters.

(a) Whoever, in any matter involving a health care benefit program, knowingly and willfully—

(1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact; or

(2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements…

keep your healthcare 1A

..or representations, or makes or uses any materially false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry, in connection with the delivery of or payment for health care benefits, items, or services, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.

(b) As used in this section, the term “health care benefit program” has the meaning given such term in section 24(b) of this title.

(Source, http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1035).

According to “Federal Law,” (your hero), Barack Obama, should currently be on trial in a Federal Court for “fraud,” along with his co-conspirators, Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, as well as everyone who had any part in the drafting of “Mr. Obama’s” (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010).

As a solution to your lack of (fetchin’ up), might I suggest a trip to the library. Chuck.

According to Webster: “fetch,” To go after and bring back.

(The truth).

Or do you still believe that…

Elizabeth from Georgia,     (The American Dream).

Two years ago my husband and I lived in a house very much like the one you provided in your blog. My husband was an architect with a very good firm until the firm downsized due to government regulations.

Today my husband and I live in a trailer park and pay our rent by mowing lawns for people who didn’t lose their homes because they lost their job for turning 55.

Am I bitter? Only while I’m awake.

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello Elizabeth, my sister’s name was Elizabeth and she was unequivocally one of the most wonderful people that ever walked on God’s green earth.

With that said, thank you for visiting my site and thank you for your story.

As you made no mention of how long you’ve been reading my blather? I will allow myself license to reiterate that beside sharing what I believe to be true, my second favorite thing to do is cook, ..so I know bitter.

My formative years were spent discovering the world around me up close and personal. The first television set I ever saw was at the Ventura county fair in 1947.

The phone on the wall between our kitchen and our dining room had a small crank on its side and was used only when absolutely necessary and never by children.

It’s hard to remember a time as a child when my father was home. Within days after I was born my father was called up to serve in the U.S. Army air Corps, (January 1942).

February 1946, my father was discharged from the Army and went to work as a civilian “laborer” at the (then) new Navy Air Station at Point Magu, California.

When a single job didn’t provide for my father’s agenda, my father worked two jobs.

America’s foundation is and has always been its workforce, from the cobbler who make your shoes to the counter girl at McDonald’s, work is honorable.

Accordingly, from what little I know about you from your brief correspondence, a spouse who stands beside her husband, (for better or worse), is not bitter…

..she is as sweet as they come. Chuck.

Prevaricator, although appropriate, is one of those sleight-of-hand words used by the liberal press to confuse America’s less literate population. Alycia from Houston.

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello Alycia, thank you for visiting my site and thank you for your comment.

Touché, although it would indeed be simpler to use the word “liar” to describe our current commander-in-chief. Albeit, if I did, it would deny America’s less than literate population the education that I’m endeavoring to provide.

I consciously chose to trade in my school desk 56 years ago for a weekly paycheck. Although I could read quite well from my association with Zane grey, Max Brand and others, when it came to spelling and (the meaning of the words) I spelled, I as often as not (misused) simple words such as “which” and “witch,” which is amusing now, however it was extremely embarrassing when I wrote to a young lady I met while in the service and she sent my letters back corrected.

I never wrote to anyone ever again without a dictionary, nor do I to this day Chuck.

I voted for Barack Obama twice, believing that he was a man of his word.

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello David, thank you for visiting my site and thank you for your comment.

One of the things that makes America great, is that it’s full of honest folks like yourself that have the capacity to learn from their mistakes.

Everyone makes a mistake from time to time, ..if you don’t believe it. I have a (devout) group of dedicated followers in cyberville that constantly check my spelling, ..and regularly share their findings with me. Chuck.

Brian from West Virginia,        (Imperial America).

I’ve been out of work for more than a year because of Obama’s war on the coal industry. When is America going to wake up and begin the war on the political industry?

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello Brian, great question! Thank you for visiting my site and thank you for your comment and your question.

I started 1050 blogs ago, as for the rest of the country, this is America, have faith…

It simply takes brainwashed folks a little longer than the rest of us to accept reality. Chuck.

Linda from Scottsdale,       (Imperial America).

If you live at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington D.C., I imagine you found the president’s state of the union address to be quite wonderful.

However if you live anywhere else in the U.S.A. and you’re not a dingbat left wing liberal or retarded. Odds are that you found Obama’s oratory a total waste of time and taxpayers money.

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello Linda,               (Imperial America).

As an avid witness to the world around me, I find the end of the story every bit as educational as the first few pages.

Although I have no doubt that Barack Obama will hang on to his socialist ideology until he assumes room temperature.

His contribution to the world should not go unsung, because, (at least in my humble opinion) it is as important to know the wrong way to do things, as it is to know the right way. Chuck.

colleague - green 2a

William from New Hampshire,      (Imperial America).

Prevaricator, liar, false witness or fibber? It makes no difference, as all the nomenclature available in the English language will not alter Obama’s agenda.

Obama is not America’s enemy, Obama is America’s fool.

Matthew 7:15; “Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello William, thank you for visiting my site and thank you for your interesting observation.

I couldn’t agree more, albeit with that said; although I am no fan of Barack Obama’s policies and ideology, Barack Obama is no fool.

Granted, he did not achieve residence in the White House by his own wit. Nevertheless, he is currently the resident and he currently holds America in the palm of his hand.

Thus, (at least in my considered opinion), those of us who challenge his policies and his ideology should not confuse his lack of substance with his power to be substantive.

Wyatt from Silver Springs,           (The Cold Truth).

I’ve been reading your blog for close to a year now and I not only like what you say but how you say it. Do you have any advice for someone that would like to start a blog?

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello Wyatt, Absolutely! First thing, (unless you’re really good at and enjoy typing), I would suggest purchasing the latest version of Nuance’s, (Dragon, Naturally Speaking).

For me, (an old guy with arthritis in both hands), my Dragon program is a godsend.

Not to mention the “wee” fact that I have always been a better talker, and/or, as my friends would attest to; “A Bull-slinger,” ..than one with a talent for writing.

Of course, either way you decide to go, simply convey the truth.

colleague - green 2a

Emily from Shreveport,            (Got Food).

As a lifelong Democrat this is very difficult for me, I voted for Barack Obama, not once but twice.

Your article, a prevaricator by any other name broke me. I’ve voted Democrat all my life because that’s the way my family voted when I was growing up.

I have three sons and a daughter all well educated who vote their minds.

When I read your article; “Question of the Day – Got Food” I cried. Learning that poverty and hunger aren’t necessary in the world, but “allowed” by the people we elect to solve such problems.

How can someone like me help? Emily.

in reply - yellow 2b

Hello Emily, thank you for visiting my site and thank you even more for your comments and your story.

You asked me how you can help? Helping someone, be it your neighbor for your nation, begins with getting involved.

Which of course you’ve already done by visiting my website.

Next step, talk to your friends and neighbors, tell them what you think. Verbalizing is what sets us apart from creatures with fur and feathers, take advantage.

If I had a shiny nickel for every word I’ve uttered in the past seventy-two years, I wouldn’t be utterly dependent upon my Social Security check.

Jocularity aside, …

God provided man with life, free will and common sense. What we do with our free will is our choice, we have free will to choose to be responsible or to be irresponsible.

George Washington and our founding fathers were men who believed in God, self-reliance and opportunity…

Our current administration believes in control, beginning with our free will, they want to control our self-reliance by creating dependency by stifling our employment opportunities and by allowing illegal immigration.

America was not founded to become a dictatorship under the thumb of a socialist ideologue.

Life is a grand gift that needs to be respected, not restricted.

Hope to hear more from you real soon, Chuck.
