Shadows – In the light of Day..

opening shadow 1

Question: What is a shadow?

According to Webster: “shad·ow,” 1. An area that is not or is only partially irradiated or illuminated because of the interception of radiation by an opaque object between the area and the source of radiation.

that's a mouthful 4a

2. The rough image cast by an object blocking rays of illumination.

I like that better 2a

Between the real world and that of imagination, (novelists and Hollywood) mankind is overwhelmed by shadows.

There are shadows created via the pens of men to number into the hundreds, possibly into the thousands, accordingly I will have to choose from among my favorites ranging between Scottish novelist J.M. Barrie, (Peter Pan) to British novelist Ian Fleming, (James Bond).

So, ..if perchance I miss mentioning your favorite shadow, I make my apologize in advance…

(Peter Pan and Tinkerbell).

Peter Pan is a character created by Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie. A mischievous boy who can fly and who never ages, …

Neverland 2a

Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the small island of Neverland as the leader of his gang, the Lost Boys, interacting with mermaids, Native Americans, fairies, pirates, and occasionally ordinary children from the world outside of Neverland. In addition to two distinct works by Barrie, the character has been featured in a variety of media and merchandise, both adapting and expanding on Barrie’s works.

Question: So what does Peter Pan have to do with shadows in the light of day?

Peter Pan - chasing shadow 1a

Glad you asked…

Peters one nemesis in life is his shadow, with a mind of its own, Peter’s shadow is a constant source of concern.

According to Webster: “nem·e·sis,” A source of harm or ruin.

For the American people to appreciate life (unencumbered) by deception, cunning and guile, ..”we” need a government that we can trust, ..a government that doesn’t represent us in the shadows, ..behind closed doors without transparency…

According to Webster: “trans·par·ent,” Easily seen; obvious.

Transparency was one of Barack Obama’s favorite words during his presidential campaigns, both in 2008 and again in 2012, yet in this writer’s opinion, America has yet to see any transparency from Barack Obama or his administration.

JM Barrie 2

Sir James Matthew Barrie, 1st Baronet, OM (9 May 1860 – 19 June 1937) was a Scottish author and dramatist, best remembered today as the creator of Peter Pan.

Barrie, the child of a family of small-town weavers, he was educated in Scotland. Then he moved to London, where he developed a career as a novelist and playwright. There he met the Llewelyn Davies boys who inspired him in writing about a baby boy who has magical adventures in Kensington Gardens, included in (The Little White Bird), then to write Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up, a “fairy play” about this ageless boy and an ordinary girl named Wendy who have adventures in the fantasy setting of Neverland.

Peter Pan - Wendy - Neverland

This play quickly overshadowed his previous work and although he continued to write successfully, it became his best-known work, credited with popularising the name Wendy, which was very uncommon previously.

Barrie unofficially adopted the Davies boys following the deaths of their parents. Barrie was made a baronet by George V in 1913, and a member of the Order of Merit in 1922.

Before his death, he gave the rights to the Peter Pan works to London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital, which continues to benefit from them.

Bond - James Bond 1a

James Bond, code name 007, is a fictional character created in 1953 by writer Ian Fleming, Fleming featured him in twelve novels and two short-story collections before his early death at the age of 56 in 1964.

Six other authors have written authorised Bond novels or novelizations since Fleming’s death: Kingsley Amis, Christopher Wood, John Gardner, Raymond Benson, Sebastian Faulks, and Jeffery Deaver; a new novel, written by William Boyd, is planned for release in 2013.

Additionally, Charlie Higson wrote a series on a young James Bond, and Kate Westbrook wrote three novels based on the diaries of a recurring series character, Moneypenny.

The fictional British Secret Service agent has also been adapted for television, radio, comic strip, and video game formats in addition to having been used in the longest continually running and the second-highest grossing film series to date, which started in 1962 with Dr. No, starring Sean Connery as Bond. As of 2013, there have been twenty-three films in the Eon Productions series.

The most recent Bond film, Skyfall (2012), stars Daniel Craig in his third portrayal of Bond; he is the sixth actor to play Bond in the Eon series.

There have also been two independent productions of Bond films: Casino Royale (a 1967 spoof) and Never Say Never Again (a 1983 remake of an earlier Eon-produced film, Thunderball).

The Bond films are renowned for a number of features, including the musical accompaniment, with the theme songs having received Academy Award nominations on several occasions, and one win. Other important elements which run through most of the films include Bond’s cars, his guns, and the gadgets with which he is supplied by Q Branch.

Ian Fleming - in color 1

(Ian Fleming).

Ian Lancaster Fleming (28 May 1908 – 12 August 1964) was an English author, journalist and naval intelligence officer, best known for his James Bond series of spy novels.

Fleming came from a wealthy family connected to the merchant bank Robert Fleming & Co., and his father was the Member of Parliament for Henley from 1910 until his death on the Western Front in 1917. Educated at Eton, Sandhurst and the universities of Munich and Geneva, Fleming moved through a number of jobs before he started writing.

While working for Britain’s Naval Intelligence Division during the Second World War, Fleming was involved in planning Operation Goldeneye and in the planning and oversight of two intelligence units, 30 Assault Unit and T-Force. His wartime service and his career as a journalist provided much of the background, detail and depth of the James Bond novels.

Fleming wrote his first Bond novel, Casino Royale, in 1952.

It was a success, with three print runs being commissioned

to cope with the demand. Eleven Bond novels and two short-story collections followed between 1953 and 1966.

The novels revolved around James Bond, an officer in the Secret Intelligence Service, commonly known as MI6. Bond was also known by his code number, 007, and was a commander in the Royal Naval Reserve.

The Bond stories rank among the best-selling series of fictional books of all time, having sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

The term shadow government (also cryptocracy), besides its party political meaning, also refers to what is sometimes called “the secret government” or “the invisible government,” an idea based on the notion that real and actual political power does not reside with publicly elected representatives (for example, the United States Congress) but with private individuals who are exercising power behind the scenes, beyond the scrutiny of democratic institutions.

According to this belief, the official elected government is in reality subservient to the shadow government who are the true executive power.

Conspiracy-oriented literature postulates the existence of a secret government who is the “true,” ..and/or, (real)  power behind the (apparent) government.

According to Webster: “ap·par·ent,” Readily seen; visible.

Examples of such literature include works by Dan Smoot, William Guy Carr, Jim Marrs, Carroll Quigley, Gary Allen, Des Griffin, David Icke, Michael A. Hoffman II and John Coleman.

Some of these authors believe members of the secret government may represent or be agents for groups such as the Council on Foreign Relations, the Royal Institute for International Affairs, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group, CIA and MI6 in co-operation with international banks and financial institutions such as the World Bank and the Bank for International Settlements.

the X-Files 2

Also popularizing the idea was the hit US television show, The X-Files.

Milton William Cooper claimed that the shadow government was in cooperation with extraterrestrial aliens. In his 1991 book “Behold A Pale Horse,” influential among “UFO and militia circles”, describes, …

“The doings of the secret world government” and “a variety of other covert activities associated with the Illuminati’s declaration of war upon the people of America”.

Correction, ..or more correctly, (my opinion), ..the illuminati has not declared war upon the people of the United States.

(Truth), A declaration of war, (albeit stupid in my opinion) is the act of a forthright individual or group. The illuminati, (to include the members of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Royal Institute for International Affairs, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group, and the World Bank, are not forthright individuals or groups.

The illuminati and all the rest are shadows, as invisible as the chill God provided man when danger or evil lurks nearby.

Cooper claimed to have seen secret documents while in the Navy describing governmental dealings with aliens. Cooper linked the Illuminati with his beliefs that extraterrestrials were secretly involved with the US government, but later retracted these claims.

He accused Dwight D. Eisenhower of negotiating a treaty with extraterrestrials in 1954, then establishing an inner circle of Illuminati to manage relations with them and keep their presence a secret from the general public.

Cooper believed that aliens “manipulated and/or ruled the human race through various secret societies, religions, magic, witchcraft, and the occult”, and that even the Illuminati were unknowingly being manipulated by them.

Cooper described the Illuminati as a secret international organization, controlled by the Bilderberg Group, that conspired with the Knights of Columbus, Masons, Skull and Bones, and other organizations.

Its ultimate goal, he said, was the establishment of a New World Order. According to Cooper the Illuminati conspirators not only invented alien threats for their own gain, but actively conspired with extraterrestrials to take over the world.

Cooper believed that James Forrestal’s fatal fall from a window on the sixteenth floor of Bethesda Hospital was connected to the alleged secret committee Majestic-12, and that JASON advisory group scientists reported to an elite group of Trilateral Commission and Council on Foreign Relations executive committee members who were high-ranking members of the Illuminati.

In his novel Coningsby, Benjamin Disraeli stated that “The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes”.

One definition of a shadow government is a…

..within the government”. This secret government is the “real” government that controls the legitimate and visible government’s agenda. The network of people constituting this secret government are bound by some common agenda known only to each other and/or the people they represent.

The agenda may be that of a secret society who have infiltrated the government (examples include Freemasons, Skull and Bones and the illuminati).

In this case the agenda of the network is known only to those members who are bound by an oath of secrecy. (Source Wikipedia).

Editorial: I have been sharing my opinions and my beliefs with any and all who have had the interest and tenacity to seek answers.

Question: Am I the official U.S. answer man? Not even close!

Albeit with that said, I am a vehicle with a lot of miles on my speedometer and I am a vehicle who loves America and abhors corruption.

Thus, I spend a great deal of my awake time researching the length and breadth of cyberspace seeking answers to share.

As I have alluded to every time my credibility may become an issue, at age 17 I chose to put high school in my rearview mirror and entered the workforce where I spent 46 years gainfully employed, which allowed me to be self-reliant and responsible for what (I chose) to be responsible for. Which of course may not hold any weight with a college graduate who knows how to text and tweet.

Other than the two years that I spent in the United States Army where my room and board was part of the deal, I have always paid my rent on time and there has always been food on my table.

Moving forward…

Due to America’s current crop of new citizen’s preference for tweeting and texting when they should be listening, or looking for a job, the number of American citizens who actually understand, or even care to understand how they are being robbed of their in alienable rights guaranteed by the blood of 25,000 plus soldiers and civilians, both men and women who sacrificed their lives to establish America as a sovereign nation.

According to Webster: “sov·er·eign,” (in context) Having supreme rank or power.

Currently, the Lions share, and/or, (majority) of our elected officials in Washington D.C. are members of the Council on foreign relations.

The Council on foreign relations is a duly authorized and sanctioned organization, (with a website) albeit it is not a public organization with membership opened to you and I. Nor is the trilateral commission, the skull and bones or the illuminati.

Question: Should Americans be afraid of shadows?

The truth; (in my opinion) ..Absolutely, especially the shadows cast by the named and unnamed shareholders of the Federal Reserve.

In closing, I would like to leave you with this question to ponder…
