(George “Duba” ..and/or, “foot in his mouth” Bush).

George Walker Bush (born July 6, 1946) is an American politician and businessman who was the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009 and the 46th Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000.

The eldest son of Barbara and George H. W. Bush, he was born in New Haven, Connecticut. After graduating from YaleUniversity in 1968 and Harvard Business School in 1975, Bush worked in oil businesses.

He married Laura Welch in 1977 and ran unsuccessfully for the House of Representatives shortly thereafter. He later co-owned the Texas Rangers baseball team before defeating Ann Richards in the 1994 Texas gubernatorial election.

Bush was elected president in 2000 after a close and controversial election, becoming the fourth president to be elected while receiving fewer popular votes nationwide than his opponent.

Bush is the second president to have been the son of a former president, the first being John Quincy Adams. He is also the brother of Jeb Bush, former Governor of Florida.

George (Duba) Quotes.

George dunce 1a

To those of you who received honours, awards and distinctions, I say well done. And to the “C” students, ..I say you too, ..can be president of the United   States.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Yeah, ..because “C” students, (even a “C” Student with a sheepskin from Yale), can’t get a job in the private sector.

So “We the People” end up with a (“C” student) managing our Nation, our money and our lives.

Speaking for myself, I believe the American people deserve (a hell of a lot better) than “C” students, ..for $400 Grand a year.

Leadership to me means duty, honor, country. It means character, and it means listening from time to time.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Again, speaking for myself; “Not when it means listening to the rhetoric warmongering ilk like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld put in your mouth.”

You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

If nothing else? It’s a good feeling to know that George “Duba’s” Quotes (won’t be remembered) ..five minutes after you walk away from reading this, ..or used by anyone  with the intellect to poor rainwater out of a boot in the future.

Free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don’t attack each other. Free nations don’t develop weapons of mass destruction.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Kinda makes one wonder if “George Duba” understood that he and his daddy both initiated a war with Saddam Hussein, and/or, that the United States was the first nation, not only to develop a weapon of mass destruction, but to use it as well?

I had to abandon free market principles in order to save the free market system.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Again, as a concession, (at least to Christians), it’s good to know that God watches over little children and the in-firm of mind.

George Bush Books 1a

I have written a book. This will come as quite a shock to some. They didn’t think I could read, much less write.

George W. Bush.

It would appear from my research, that George has written and published six books, (commendable) I am envious.

Whether or not George has gotten rich from his writing, I can’t comment. Albeit, I can divulge that I have written over 800 blogs in the last 2+ years and I haven’t made a dime.

Kudos to George.

It’s clearly a budget. It’s got a lot of numbers in it.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Whether or not George simply enjoyed being facetious, or George was simply simple? Doesn’t really matter I suppose.

The image that he provided me while he served in the Oval Office never rose to the level of acceptability. Beginning the moment I first laid eyes on him I judged George to be an imbecile.

If you’re sick and tired of the politics of cynicism and polls and principles, come and join this campaign.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

I just didn’t want to get out there anymore; I didn’t want to get back into what I call ‘the swamp.’ And the other reason why is I don’t think it’s good for the presidency for a former president to be opining about his successor. President Obama’s got plenty of critics – and I’m just not gonna be one.

George W. Bush.

Sidebar).

How can one not admire a man who thought the office of President of the United States was a swamp? ..a man who claimed to support God and conservatism who can’t muster the Moxie to criticize, (in my opinion) ..a Marxist socialist commie.

Now, there are some who would like to rewrite history – revisionist historians is what I like to call them.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Just in case you’re reading this George, that’s what everyone calls them.

And what’s interesting, and I don’t think a lot of Americans understand this fact, is that, one, most new jobs are created by small businesses; two, most small businesses pay tax at the individual income tax, or many small businesses pay tax there.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

How can one who appreciates language comment on nonsense?

So, I’m lying on the couch and Laura walks in and I say, ‘Free at last,’ and she says ‘You’re free all right, you’re free to do the dishes.’ So I say, ‘You’re talking to the former president, baby,’ and she said, ‘consider this your new domestic policy agenda.’

George W. Bush.

Question: Why wasn’t Laura the President?

It is clear our nation is reliant upon big foreign oil. More and more of our imports come from overseas.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Sure, if you have a heart? You have to know that George means well, ..albeit (at least in my opinion) simply “meaning well” does not qualify an individual to serve as the leader of the free world.

People forget… that we structured it so that the government, or the people, would be repaid with a really good rate of return. And as it turns out, that aspect of TARP, that’s what happened.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

From that narrative, one has to really wonder whether or not anyone ever told George that the taxpayers lost billions from his TARP bailouts.

So, for example, a country was into recession right after I was sworn in, a dot-com bust had taken place. Then the attacks of September the 11th, and then of course the great financial meltdown in the – the fundamental question facing any presidency is how do you deal with the hand you’re dealt?

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

If an individual knows nothing about poker, he shouldn’t set down at the table.

The true history of my administration will be written 50 years from now, and you and I will not be around to see it.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Sorry George, in the 21st-century, history runs on a 24 hour clock which means that what used to take 50 years is now common knowledge and 24 to 36 hours.

For diplomacy to be effective, words must be credible – and no one can now doubt the word of America.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

With the possible exception “of course” ..of the American people who have been lied to, (either by misinformation or omission) for as long as my 71-year-old lungs have been converting oxygen into carbon dioxide.

page break - dark red 1

We don’t believe in planners and deciders making the decisions on behalf of Americans.

George W. Bush.

(Sidebar).

Correct me if I’m wrong, ..wasn’t George quite prolific when it came to identifying himself as the decider?

Think about it, I’ll be back tomorrow
